Apple is raring to go again with the much-anticipated launch just around the block — the top-end iPhone 5S and a cheaper iPhone 5C are set to be showcased in an event in Cupertino, which will also be shown to a select group of guests in China via satellite link.
The invite makes it almost certain that Apple will most likely continue with its boring naming convention and unveil the iPhone 5S, along with a lighter iPhone 5C, on Tuesday. As with previous Apple smartphones, the iPhone 5S will be available in stores in the latter part of 2013, following in the footsteps of the iPhone 5 and the older iPhone 4S.
The 5S may well carry the same design features as the iPhone 5 but with a slightly faster processor and a better camera running. With massive launches like the newly announced Samsung Galaxy Note III, Sony Xperia Z1 behind us, Apple seriously needs to up the ante if it has to strengthen its faltering profit margins. It may be too early in the day to say that both the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C have what it takes to topple the ever-increasing competition. Nevertheless, things are about to get very interesting very soon!
